The Masters in General Biology Program for Teachers

This program is a summer-intensive, research-based graduate program designed exclusively for middle and high school biology teachers. The goals of this program are to increase teachers' knowledge of both biology content and pedagogy, to give them first-hand experience in the processes of scientific research, and to provide them with opportunities to develop into master teachers.

The teachers in the program will:

  • develop curricula and classroom activities based on their research

  • learn to integrate technology into their classroom

  • collaborate with The Biology Project team to create web-based resources for secondary education
