Color Blindness Problem Set
Problem 11: Audrei's daughters
What is the probability that Audrei's daughters will be color blind?
A.
|
O% if the father has normal vision, and 100% if
the father is red-green color blind.
If the father has normal vision, all of the
daughters will receive their father's X-chromosome with the normal
vision trait. All will have normal vision, but will be heterozygous
carriers of the color perception defect. If the father is red-green
color blind, all the daughters will be red-green color blind like their
mother.
|
B.
|
50% if the father has normal vision, and 100% if the father is red-green color blind.
|
C.
|
5O% if the father has normal vision, and 50% if the father is red-green color blind.
|
D.
|
25% if the father has normal vision, and 100% if the father is
red-green color blind.
