Problem 4: Microscopes

What type of microscope would allow you to study the orderly sequence of events that lead to the separation of chromosomes during mitosis? (Chromosomes are found inside of the cell's nucleus.)

C.	transmission electron microscope
	Incorrect. Although a transmission electron microscope could be used to take pictures of chromosomes, the preparation would kill the cell. Only living cells undergo mitosis.
