Before starting the activity, heterogeniously group the students
according to academic ability in groups of three:
Each group should include a self-motivated, highly achieving
student, a middle-level student who may just need to be pushed now and then
or just needs a little extra explanation from a group member to understand a
concept or instruction, and a low-level academic achiever who has difficulty
understanding instructions, deciphering numbers, or just keeping up in general.
Students will receive both group and individual grades, so there will be a motivating
factor to help each other and to understand the activity at a personal level.
