MAKING A SPECIMEN LABEL
OBJECTIVE: Students will
demonstrate that they understand how to correctly label a preserved specimen
by properly recording collecting data on the label and attaching it to
the mounted specimen.
INSTRUCTIONS: The information of location, growing site, soil and
habitat all need to be included on the specimen label. The form below
is recommended, but the class might be able to design one that displays
the information better. For the sake of uniformity the class should agree
on the form that all will use.
