Step 10. Submit Penultimate Draft
of Thesis When writing the preliminary drafts of the thesis, you should work closely with your thesis supervisor. Once the thesis is written, you must submit a completed, polished draft to each member of the Supervisory Committee at least 6 weeks prior to the final examination. It is your responsibility to ensure that sufficient time is provided for your Supervisory Committee to read this polished draft of your thesis. The Supervisory Committee should be able to read your thesis and return it to you within two weeks of receipt. It is recommended that the committee meet after reading the thesis and submit a brief written report to the Chair of the Graduate Studies Committee (Dr. Elfring) evaluating the completeness and suitability of the thesis. This timing allows you to make any suggested changes, provided they are minor, and to obtain final approval of the penultimate draft three weeks prior to the final examination (thesis defense). If you wish, Ellie Warder will review your thesis format once for compliance with Graduate College requirements. The
