Tuition Waivers

Courtesy of the College of Science, we will offer partial tuition waivers in the Fall and Spring semesters. Tuition waivers are pro-rated according to units of credit (i.e., ~$1,000 for someone taking 3 units of credit costing ~$2,000). You must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be enrolled in the Master of Science degree program in General Biology
  • You must maintain a 3.00 GPA
  • You must enroll in at least 3 units of credit in the Fall and/or Spring semesters. You must take a "regular" course on top of a distance learning course in order to qualify.
  • You must be making satisfactory progress towards your degree
  • You must be enrolled in your classes on the application due date

Spring 2011 Tuition Waiver Application - due Nov. 30, 2010

All tuition waivers are based on availability of funds.

Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA)

You should submit a FAFSA application in Jan/Feb, as soon as you have done your income taxes. You never know if you qualify for financial aid from the government if you don't apply! Many of our program participants receive financial aid through FAFSA. Remember there's never a fee to apply for FAFSA. Beware of a site with a similar URL that tries to trick you into paying fees.

Other Financial Aid

You should check out other types of financial aid from your employer, your spouse's employer, and other organizations that help students attend school. Scholarships.com is a great place to seek other forms of financial aid.
