Biomedical Research for Arizona Teachers

Biology Update 1 (BIOC 623c)This online course will focus on recent advances in the understanding of basic biology and on new applications in cellular and molecular aspects of biology. The course is scheduled to run June 7-July 30. 3 units of graduate-level credit. Instructors: Jim Ware, M.S. and Lisa Rezende, Ph.D. Fall 2009 Course Syllabus (pdf file; updated version for Summer 2010 will be available soon) Cost: $1,436. Courtesy of a grant from Science Foundation Arizona, in-service Arizona secondary school teachers will receive a scholarship (approximately $600; exact amount TBA) towards the cost of the course. This scholarship will be reflected in your bill, which will be reduced by the amount of your scholarship. Sorry, teachers from other states are not eligible for this scholarship.
