Biomedical Research for Arizona Teachers

Biology Update 1 (BIOC 623c)This online course will focus on recent advances in the understanding of basic biology and on new applications in cellular and molecular aspects of biology. The course is tentatively scheduled to run Sept 21-Dec 11. 3 units of graduate-level credit. Instructors: Jim Ware, M.S. and Lisa Rezende, Ph.D. Cost: ~$1,313 Courtesy of a grant from Science Foundation Arizona, in-service Arizona teachers are eligible to receive a $600 scholarship towards the cost of the class. Priority will be given to in-service secondary school teachers who have never received a scholarship through this program and/or live in counties other than Pima and Maricopa.
