Biology Update 2 (BIOC 623d)

This online course focuses on evolutionary ecology and conservation. We will cover some foundations and recent advances in the understanding and applications of evolution, phylogenetics, ecology, and conservation. The course requires 3 field trips, which may be taken individually at your location, or in groups (if other teachers in your area are enrolled in this class as well). 3 units of graduate-level credit. Cost: ~$1,398.

Courtesy of a grant from Science Foundation Arizona, in-service Arizona secondary school teachers will receive a $600 scholarship towards the cost of the course. This scholarship will be reflected in your bill, which will be reduced by $600. Sorry, teachers from other states are not eligible for this scholarship.

Course runs Feb. 1-May 14, 2010. May be taken before BIOC 623c. Instructor: Maureen Sieberg, Ph.D.

Not currently a University of Arizona graduate student? Apply now for non-degree admission so you may enroll in this course. There is a $35 application fee.
