Web Page Hit Counter

The BIOLOGY web servers support a simple "page hit" counter mechanism you can use to track and display the number of times your page has been visited. Be aware that due to differing settings for client browser cache clearance and such, hit counters are not neccessarily an accurate reflection of the traffic on your page.

Basic counter example:
This page has been accesssed times since the counter was installed.

There are many more styles of digit displays. See the table below:

Style Name Example
led
odometer
lcd
speckled
eggs
timex
scoreboard
beach

To add a counter to your page:

1. you first must contact the WebKeeper (Ken Williams) by email or telephone (621.3624) so your server address can be added to our database. Otherwise, the link shown below will not work!

2. Put a link on your page like this:

< img src="http://quetzal.blc.arizona.edu/scripts/counter.exe?link=page&style=led">

where "page" is the name you assign to your page (any name is ok, it is simply the unique name by which your hits will be tracked) and the style is one of those listed in the table.
